WHAT IT IS
A measurement, not an opinion.
The free Owner Dependency Score is a self-assessment: ten dimensions, your own answers. Useful, and honest about its limit — a self-report can flatter, and a number that decides where money goes should not rest on one. The diagnostic rescores the same ten dimensions from evidence: what the systems show, what the artifacts say, and what five people describe when asked the same questions separately.
Alongside the score, the Complexity Tax gets a number: software spend, reporting and coordination hours, approval latency, rework, and owner time, estimated in dollars per year with the method shown line by line. The Three-Day Absence Test is run as a structured exercise against real workflows — what waits, what escalates, what fails — rather than as a thought experiment.
It ends in a route, not a pitch: which intervention first — the Command Blueprint, EVERJUST.APP, CustomAgents, or none yet — with the reasoning shown so it can be argued with. Not-yet is a real recommendation, and it costs the same as any other answer.
One thing this is not: a validated benchmark. The Owner Dependency Score is a working diagnostic, and we say so plainly — the measurement is honest about its own instrument.

A good fit when

- The owner will grant scoped read access and five interviews — the two inputs a measurement cannot fake
Not the right call when
- The free score was already enough conviction. Skip this and start at the Command Blueprint — the diagnostic can run inside it.
- Nobody with authority will grant system access or interviews. Without evidence this becomes a paid opinion, and we do not sell those.
- You need a certified or validated index for a board or a lender. The instrument is a working diagnostic and we will not dress it as more.
- The company is small enough that the owner is the operation by design. Measuring that costs money to learn what is already known.

Why is it fixed at $2,500?
One company, ten dimensions, five interviews, one report — the scope barely moves with company size at this depth. Where it genuinely would, such as a multi-entity group, we say so at intake and price the difference in writing before anything starts.
What access is needed?
Read access to the core operating systems, the org chart, and a workflow list; then five interviews of under an hour each. Access is scoped to what the ten dimensions need, logged, and revoked at delivery.
Is this the same score I took online?
Same ten dimensions, different evidence. The free score is what you believe; the diagnostic is what the systems, artifacts and interviews show. The gap between the two numbers is usually the most useful finding in the report.
What happens after?
The route says: Command Blueprint from $7,500 if the operating model needs redesigning, a product if the gap is infrastructure, or not yet. The baseline is yours either way — re-run it in two quarters and the delta is measured, not asserted.
